V|08 Venice Video Art Fair - San Servolo Island

The third edition of V|08 Venice Video Art Fair will be held on San Servolo Island in Venice from September 11 to 14, 2008.

The only video fair in Italy is held at the same time as the Visual Art expo one year and, like this year, as the International Architecture Exhibit the next, in the Venice Biennale settings. This new edition will be held in the central building on San Servolo Island, just a short boat ride from the Biennale gardens and enchanting St. Mark's Square.

V|08 will host 25 international galleries in 15 square meter stands, equipped with all the technology needed to provide a clear and comfortable view of the works on display. V|08 will be followed by mediapartner Drome Magazine. Important VIP and collectors are scheduled to attend the event. Two videos will be shown, one by Frac Nord - Pas de Calais, and the second by Mambo di Bologna, to complete the cultural range of this third edition.

This year's artistic director for V|08 Venice Videoart Fair is the famous critic and curator, Raffaele Gavarro.


How to reach the island:

The island is easy to reach using the public actv transportation service, ferry line 20 from S. Zaccaria - Monumento (a 10 minute ride).
